Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine has announced his intention to head to the NFL. During last night’s 35-19 Sugar Bowl victory over Auburn, Perine eclipsed Billy Sims to become OU’s all-time rushing leader.

Perine, who finished his OU career with 4,122 yards rushing, also holds the FBS record for rushing yards in a single game with 427. Despite all of this, he’s sometimes been overlooked due to all of the star power within Oklahoma’s offensive unit over the past few years. However, I’m certainly not one to overlook him.
We at C&C Machine wish Samaje the best of luck in the NFL. We know he’ll conduct himself with class at the next level, and it’s safe to say he’ll be a great ambassador for the university for the rest of his life. I think we’re all proud to call him one of our own.
Thanks for the memories Samaje! OU's all-time rushing king... and even better person. #OUDNA pic.twitter.com/DFfVVwvxND
