We’re now only 16 days away from the opener in H-Town, and today we highlight a player who has changed positions this offseason.
Michiah Quick came to OU as a highly-touted recruit out of Fresno, California in 2014 and was expected to be an immediate contributor as a receiver. After getting some decent playing time in the second half of the 2014 season, Quick was used sparingly as a sophomore in 2015.
Quick was moved to corner in the spring of 2016, and all indications are that he appears to be a natural fit at the position. He has pretty good ball skills and is - I’m sorry - pretty quick. Obviously, experience at the receiver position gives him a unique perspective that he can use to his advantage and will surely help ease the transition. He’s won’t start in the opener against Houston, but he certainly has a chance to crack the rotation as the season goes along.
