We’re only 17 days away from the start of the 2016 season, and today we take a look at Andre Woolfolk.
Woolfolk was initially a receiver for the Sooners and made a ton of huge plays as a sophomore in 2000, most notably his circus catch against Nebraska in which he kicked the ball up in the air and caught it while on his back. However, he made the move to cornerback early in his junior year and was nothing short of dominant at the position.
Woolfolk would end up being selected 28th overall by the Tennessee Titans but would only last four seasons in the league. In 11 starts, he only picked off three passes - all thrown by David Carr. Music City Miracles ranked him as the No. 3 bust in Titans history back in 2011, but he was a phenomenal player at Oklahoma and had all the makings of a future star coming out of college. It’s a shame that pro ball didn’t work out for him he way that he’d planned.
