When you share the same position on a team as Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon then you're naturally going to be down in the pecking order. Redshirt senior Daniel Brooks doesn't seem to mind though. A native of Port Lavaca, Texas, Brooks has made a name for himself by making the most of the opportunities presented to him. Averaging a solid 5.4 yards per carry, Daniel Brooks has only been able to run the ball a total of 34 times in his career. A versatile back, also has two receptions for forty yards, Brooks has yet to score a touchdown as a Sooner but still draws a resounding cheer from the home crowd when he enters a game.
Primarily a special teams player, Brooks set a career high in 2015 when he ran for 55 yards on just four carries against Iowa State on November 7th. He also logged in 75 all-purpose yards against Kansas State on October 17th.
