On September 27th, 2008 the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooner found themselves paired against the No. 23 TCU Horned Frogs with the potential of claiming the nation's top spot. Downing the folks from Ft. Worth, Sam Bradford set a career high at the time of 411 passing yards against what was considered the best defense in the NCAA.
Although the rushing attack struggled, the Sooners continued to attack. Airing it out, Manuel Johnson caught three touchdown passes of 55+ yards each. It's tough to win a game when surrendering big plays like those three. With the win, Oklahoma secured a 21st consecutive home win.
A streak that began after suffering a loss to TCU in 2005 would not suffer the same fate in 2008.
