In 2014, the Oklahoma Sooners hoped to deploy the talents of the versatile Dimitri Flowers against opponents. Enrolling early, the fullback gained valuable time in the offense debuting as a starter against Louisiana Tech while still a true freshman. Grabbing three passes, the FB tallied up 24 yards leading many fans to high hopes for the future.
Often compared to Trey Millard, the emergence of a viable tight end may have cut into the playing time of Flowers in 2015. Regardless, the abilities of the fullback are undeniable. Playing in every game over the past two seasons, Flowers was tabbed as a Big 12 Honorable mention. The highlight of the year undoubtedly fell upon the 75-yard touchdown reception against Iowa State.
Now a junior, Flowers has the potential to make a lasting impression upon the OU Faithful!
