The Oklahoma Sooners ended the 2012 regular season on a five-game winning streak. Included in that streak was a 42-34 win over Baylor on November 10th. The 14th ranked Sooners out punched the Bears thanks in part to a 55-yard rushing touchdown by backup quarterback Blake Bell early in the fourth quarter.
Bell ended the day with 74 rushing yards, on five carries, and was only outdone by Damien WIlliams who tallied up 99 yards, and two touchdowns, on twenty-three carries. Justin Brown and Jalen Saunders combined for 153 receiving yards on eleven shared catches, with Brown also hauling in a 35-yard touchdown pass.
The two teams shared a combined 884 yards of offense on the day with the Sooners picking up 28 total first downs to Baylor's 25. Oklahoma also held a slight advantage in time of possession over the Bears by a 32:14 to 27:18 margin. The win by the Sooners avenged a 45-38 loss to the Bears the year before.
