Sophomore Paige Parker absolutely proved her worth on Wednesday night as she guided the Sooners to their third national championship since the 2000 season. Oklahoma plated two runs in the bottom of the opening frame and then rode Parker's arm to the title.
Parker allowed just one run, a solo-shot home run in the the top of the fourth, and worked her way out of a bases loaded jam in the the top of the third to halt an Auburn offense that had been piping hot in the World Series.
