2016 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 65 Days!

On November 22nd of 2008, the Oklahoma Sooners found themselves paired against the No. 2 Texas Tech Red Raiders in Norman looking . Collecting a seven point lead in the first quarter, the home squad broke open the flood gates in the second quarter. Posting an additional 35 points, Oklahoma took a commanding lead at half time all but sealing up the game.

Claiming an eventual 65-21 victory, the infamous "Jump Around" scene broke out in the stadium.

During the rout, the Sooners nearly eclipsed 300 yards in both passing and rushing while pushing the total yardage up to 625. Of course, Sam Bradford threw only 19 passes completing 14 of them for 304 yards an four touchdowns. Catching five of those passes, Jermaine Gresham tallied 95 yards. On the ground, DeMarco Murray carried the ball 18 times for 125 yards and two scores.

As we all know, the Sooners went on to play in the National Championship using this game as a springboard to get there.
