2016 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 75 Days!

On their first offensive play of the game against the Iowa State Cyclones in 2015, the Oklahoma Sooners dipped into their bag of tricks. Snapping the ball, chaos ensues in the back field leaving Dimitri Flowers wide open for a 75-yard sprint into the endzone.

Initially, Baker Mayfied turned while handing the ball off to Samaje Perine, Following the hand-off, fans witness the running back reverse the ball as he's being wrapped up by a defender to a speedy Sterling Shepard. However, when Shepard crosses in front of his quarterback, he flicks the ball back to Mayfield who stares down a wide open Flowers.

With the arm strength and accuracy, Mayfield ignores the defender coming right at him. Throwing a ball that hits Flowers in stride, the nearest would be tackler remains roughly 20 yards away. On the play, the Sooners regained the lead 7-3 and would go on to win the game.
