Three Oklahoma Softball Players Named To All-American Team

Rich DeCray SBN

Oklahoma's standout pitcher Paige Parker has been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-America first team, while her teammates Erin Miller and Shay Knighten were selected to the second team.

Parker is just a sophomore but is one of the most dominant players in the country and has been a huge reason for the Sooners success this season. She has a 33-3 starting record and has struck out 244 batters this season. She's also pitched 13 shutouts this season, good for second in the entire country.

Parker has accomplished a great deal in her two short years at Okahoma but she's not even done yet. The Sooners have advanced to the College World Series and will look to bring home their third championship.

Miller has a .400 batting average and is tied for first in the Big 12 with 22 doubles. Knighten is a freshman and led OU with 54 RBI's and had 11 home runs on the year.
