Oklahoma football fans were not pleased with the news that the Sooners would open their season with an 11:00 a.m. kickoff when the play Houston at NGR Stadium in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff. Perhaps they'll be a little more pleased with Wednesday announcement of three more kickoff times and television listings.
The Sooners will open up their home season with a 6:00 p.m. kickoff against Louisiana Monroe on September 10. The next week they will host the Ohio State Buckeyes for a 6:30 p.m. start. OU's game at Iowa State, November 3rd, has also been selected for a 6:30 p.m. start.
Television listings were announced as well. Oklahoma's home opener will be broadcast via pay-per-view, the game against Ohio State will be on FOX, and when the Sooners travel to Iowa State fans will be able to catch the game on ESPN. Oklahoma's annual rivalry game with Texas will air on FoxSports 1 but no kickoff time has been announced yet. You should probably go ahead and pencil that on in for 11:00 a.m..
