The Sooners are still riding the 2017 recruiting momentum, but this is always a slow time of the year, as classes are about to end, and the school year winds down. The Sooners are still setting pretty for a bunch of elite talent and here is our best guesses as to who will wind up being a  part of the Sooners class of 2017.

Commitments - 12

4-Star QB Chris Robison 6-2/190 from Mesquite, TX

4-Star WR Charleston Rambo 6-2/170 from Cedar Hill, TX

3-Star WR Jalen Reagor 6-1/190 from Waxahachie, TX

3-Star WR/TE Grant Calcaterra 6-4/210 from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

4-Star RB Trey Sermon 6-1/220 from Marietta, GA

4-Star OL Tyrese Robinson 6-5/300 from McKinney, TX

4-Star LB Levi Draper 6-2/215 from Collinsville, OK

4-Star DB Trajan Bandy 5-10/180 from Miami, FL

4-Star DB Tre Brown 5-11/180 from Tulsa, OK

4-Star DB Justin Broiles 6-0/170 from Oklahoma City, OK

4-Star DB Robert Barnes 6-3/200 from Southlake, TX

JUCO RB/ATH Marcelias Sutton 5-10/195 from Scranton, PA

Commitment Predictions - 12

1. 3-Star OL Creed Humphrey 6-5/290 from Shawnee, OK

Offers: Bama, Texas, Texas A&M, Northwestern, Vandy, VTech, ASU, Houston, KSU, Memphis

Humphrey should fit in nicely for the Sooners along the interior of their OL. While it might take a while, I believe that Humprhey will eventually be a Sooner.

2. 4-Star OL Chuck Filiaga 6-6/330 from Aledo, TX

Offers OU, Bama, Arizona, ASU, Ark, Auburn, Baylor, Cal, UF. Michigan, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oregon, SCar, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington, Wazzu.

Filiaga has recently moved to Aledo, TX from Southern California. Filiaga really liked the Sooners, but the distance was at one point seemingly to much to overcome. Now that he lives in the D/FW metroplex, I expect that to change.

3. 4-Star OL Stephan Zabie 6-6/290 from Austin, TX

Offers: OU, Ark, Baylor, UF, Houston, Illinois, Iowa St., Mizzou, Oregon State,  Texas A&M, USC, Utah

Zabie appears to be a battle between A&M and the Sooners. I believe the Sooners will emerge victorious.

4. 4-Star WR Omar Manning 6-3/200 from Lancaster, TX

Offers: OU, Bama, ASU, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, UF, Houston, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St., Ohio State, OKState, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, TTech, UCLA, Washington, Utah,

Manning should be a Sooner. I believe that he finishes out the Sooners wide receiver class in 2017 (although they would still most like take Cedarian Lamb back after his de-commitment).

5. 4-Star RB Anthony Davis 5-10/200 from Lakeland, FL

Offers: OU, Arizona, ASU, Auburn, Clemson, UF, FSU, UGA, Miami, Michigan, Michigan St., Miss. St., Mizzou, UNC, Ohio State, OKState, SCar, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, WVU.

The only question I have is whether the Sooners and Davis still fit after the commitment of Trey Sermon. I am guessing they do.

6. 4-Star DL Greg Rogers 6-4/310 from Las Vegas, NV

Offers: OU, Arizona, ASU, Ark, BYU, Cal, UF, Colorado, FSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Utah, UVA, Washington, Wazzu,

The Sooners are going all out for Rogers. Something tells me the hard work pays and Rogers chooses the Sooners over USC.

7. 3-Star DL Deiontae Watts 6-3/300 from Plano, TX.

Offers: OU, Baylor, Colorado, Kansas, Mizzou, Nebraska, OKState, SMU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC.

Watts is originally from Oklahoma. This one just makes too much sense.

8. 3-Star DE Ondario Robinson 6-5/240 from Hutto, TX

Offers: ASU, Colorado, UGA, Houston, Indiana, Mizzou, SMU.

While Robinson doesn't yet have an OU offer, I expect that to change. With an OU offer, the Sooners would be REALLY hard to beat.

9. 3-Star DE/OLB Isaiah Thomas 6-5/230 from Tulsa, OK

Offers: OU, Bama, Arizona, Baylor, ISU, Mizzou, Nebraska, OKState, Tennessee, Texas A&M, SCar, Vandy

I am honestly a bit surprised that Thomas hasn't already committed to OU. I still believe it is something that could happen at any time.

10. 4-Star LB Anthony Hines 6-3/220 from Plano, TX

Offers: Everyone including OU.

Hines and OU just seem to fit. There are some rumblings that he could enroll early which would a commitment before National Signing Day.

11. 4-Star LB Addison Gumbs 6-3/215 from Hayward, CA

Offers: OU, ASU, Ark, Cal, ISU, Louisville, Ole Miss, Miss. St., Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon St., Pitt, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA,

12. 4-Star LB Jacob Phillips 6-3/230 from Nashville, TN

Offers: OU Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss, Miss. St., Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vandy, GTech, Miami

Lots of people are claiming the Sooners are out in front. We agree.

If this class were to come to pass, the Sooners would land seventeen 4-star prospects. which would easily make it one of the best on paper in Stoops tenure.
