Josiah St. John Touted As Potential No. 1 Pick In 2016 CFL Draft

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma Sooners have consistently developed talent along the offensive line over the past decade. Now with the 2016 Canadian Football League Draft on the horizon, linemen are considered a premium. After assessing the field, more than a handful of teams are eyeing one product out of the University of Oklahoma. The most recent mock draft lists Josiah St. John as the No. 1 overall pick.

Of course a lot could change between now and the actual draft date of May 10th.

Hailing from the city of Toronto, St. John landed at OU after taking the junior college route. Following a redshirt season in 2013, the lineman earned playing time in 8-of-13 games the following season. As a redshirt junior, the former Sooner earned his first start at right tackle against Tennessee. Before ending his collegiate career, St. John started in four games while appearing in 15 over the course of two seasons.
