TCU Uses 9-Run Inning To Move Past Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State used a huge inning on Wednesday night to send Texas into the loser's bracket and advance themselves into a winner's bracket match against TCU in Thursday's night cap. However, this time they would find themselves to be the victims of a large rally to come within a game of being eliminated.

The Cowboys to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first and carried it until the Horned Frogs tied the game up in the top of the fourth with a four-run effort of their own. Donnie Walton came home in the bottom of the seventh to put Oklahoma State back in front 5-4 but nobody saw what was coming next.

TCU would send thirteen batters to the plate in the top of the eight inning with nine of them scoring off of eight hits. Nearly half of the Horned Frogs 17 hits came in the eighth inning as they watched their 5-4 deficit grow into an insurmountable 13-5 lead.

Oklahoma State will need to shake off the shell shock if they want another crack at TCU. The Cowboys will face Texas in Friday's second elimination game.
