4-Star DB Parrish Cobb

4-Star DE Brandon Bowen

4-Star WR Devin Duvernay

4-Star WR Tren'Davian Dickson

4-Star OL JP Urquidez

4-Star OL Patrick Hudson

3-Star WR Denzel Mims

What do all these players have in common?

Answer: They all had OU offers or were seriously recruited by OU during the 2016 class and eventually signed with the Bears. The most obvious for OU fans is Parrish Cobb, who was a longtime Sooner commit, before switching to Baylor just a day before National Signing Day.

So why do these players matter?

Answer: It will be incredibly difficult for Baylor to pull in this type of elite level talent moving forward. Prior to Briles arrival in Waco, the Bears were all but an afterthought for most if not all of the elite prospects in the state of Texas. However, Briles had changed the perception (and on the field results) to where last year it had become fairly common for a player to commit to Baylor over OU. The same situation is true for schools like Texas, Texas A&M, and others.

Now with today's news of Briles dismissal, there were be an even bigger talent pool in the state of Texas for schools like TCU, Texas, TTech, Texas A&M, OKState, and the Sooners.

What about the Class of 2017?

Answer: Currently the Sooners and Bears are going head to head for a number of prospects. Here are a few of them

4-Star WR Omar Manning

4-Star WR Jhamon Ausbon

4-Star WR Cedarian Lamb

4-Star TE Kedrick James (who just de-committed from Baylor today)

3-Star ATH Paulson Adebo

4-Star DL Taquon Graham

4-Star LB Levi Jones

4-Star LB Baron Browning

4-Star OL Walker Little

4-Star OL Stephan Zabie

4-Star DB Kary Vincent

3-Star DL Deiontae Watts

While it would be crazy to say that Baylor won't land any of these players, today's news will undoubtedly make it that much more difficult for the Bears going forward.
