TCU Shakes Off Slow Start To Defeat Baylor 12-5

TCU was sluggish early on but regained for to comfortably send Baylor into the loser's bracket of the Big 12 Baseball Tournament with a 12-5 win. The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning and after the Horned Frogs were able to recover, by tying things up in the bottom half, Baylor was able to jump back in front with a run in the top of the third. That's just about the time TCU started to get things rolling though.

The Horned Frogs would plate multiple runs in the third, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings on their way to a 17 hit/12 run afternoon. Freshman Luken Baker went 5-for-5 from the plate, driving in three runs and scoring four times himself. He produced enough offense on his own to power the Frogs past the Bears but he was still assisted by a TCU roster that saw eight of the ten batters who approached the plate record at least one hit.

Freshman Sean Wymer took the mound for the Frogs, in relief of starter Dalton Horton, in the third inning to pick up his third win on the season.
