Recruiting is getting earlier and earlier. Schools are offering prospects for the class of 2019 already, so it stands to reason that numerous offers are already out for the class of 2018. Yesterday evening, the Sooners made a huge instate offer to class of 2018 QB Casey Thompson. If that name sounds familiar, Casey is the brother of former Sooners QB Kendal Thompson (who later transferred to Utah), and the son of former Sooner Charles Thompson.
Casey stars for Southmoore High School, and he was pretty excited when he tweeted out the Sooner offer.
Thankful to receive an offer from the University of ⭕️KLAH⚪️MA! Glory to God as always.. #G2G @LincolnRiley pic.twitter.com/AWOwkCLjFP

While this offer is definitely a big deal, the question that must be answered with Casey is whether or not their are any hard feelings for how things turned out with Kendal and his time at OU. Honestly those that think this is an issue are probably reaching and making lots of assumptions, as I believe OU will be incredibly tough to beat.
Casey is a national prospect already holding offers from SMU, Penn St., WVU, Ohio State, Miami, Louisville, OKState, Oregon St., Illinois, and Iowa State. He is definitely a threat to run with his legs, but is a more than capable passer.
