Oklahoma Sooners Season Opener Set For 11 AM Kickoff

On Saturday, September 3rd, the Oklahoma Sooners and Houston Cougars will meet for the first time since 2004. During the outing, the Sooners stole the show behind a convincing 63-13 win. However, these days, this is a Houston program on the rise. After posting an 11-1 record last season, the Cougars journey down the road to a neutral site. Meeting the Sooners at the home of the NFL's Houston Texans, NRG Stadium, Houston hopes for an upset.

The game marks the fourth annual Advocate Texas Kickoff and carries the label of one of the best games of week one. With that said, kickoff has been set for 11:00 AM CST with coverage being brought to the viewer by ABC. Later, LSU and Wisconsin meet at 2:30 PM on ABC leaving Alabama and USC for the primetime 7:00 PM slot.
