The revival of Alec Hansen didn't last very long as Oklahoma's starting pitcher was rocked by the Oklahoma State Cowboys early in Saturday evenings second game of the Bedlam series. The reigning Big 12 Pitcher of the Week only lasted two and one third innings before leaving the contest after surrendering five earned runs off six hits and two walks.
OSU posted three runs in both the first and third innings and then added two more in the fourth and seventh innings to build a comfortable 10-3 lead. Not willing to go away quietly, the Sooners mounted a rally that fell just a run short over the eighth and ninth innings.
After scoring three runs in the eighth, the Sooners posted another three in the top of the ninth and had the bases loaded but couldn't push a tying, or go ahead, run across the plate.
Oklahoma State's 10-9 win evened the series at one game each with the finale set for Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in Tulsa.
