This list will continue to evolve as needs are met and players commit and de-commit. Here is our most recent list of predictions for the Oklahoma Sooners Class of 2017.
Current Commits - 11
1. 4-Star QB Chris Robison 6-1/185 from Mesquite, TX
Chris has all the tools to thrive in the Lincoln Riley's system. He is also easily one of the biggest recruiters the Sooners have.
2. JUCO RB/ATH Marcelias Sutton 5-10/195 from Scranton, PA
Sutton flipped from NCState and should fit seamlessly into the Sooners offense.
3. 4-Star WR Charleson Rambo 6-2/170 from Cedar Hill, TX.
His name alone makes him worthy of being an OU commitment. It doesn't hurt that he is also a really good football player.
4. 4-Star WR Cedarian Lamb 6-3/180 from Richmond, TX
Lamb was the Sooners first commit for 2017, and even though he grew up an LSU fan (and has an LSU Offer) appears to be holding steady for the Sooners. He is a big time vertical threat.
5. 3- Star WR Jalen Reagor 6-1/190 from Waxahachie, TX
I actually believe that Reagor is the Sooners best WR commitment in spite of the 3-star ranking as he had offers from Bama and FSU before committing to OU.
6. 4-Star OL Tyrese Robinson 6-5/300 from McKinney, TX
Robinson is an elite talent. I wouldn't be shocked to see him make an early impact.
7. 4-Star LB Levi Draper 6-2/215 from Collinsville, OK
Draper is the top prospect in the state of Oklahoma for the Class of 2017.
8. 4-Star DB Robert Barnes 6-3/200 from Southlake, TX
Barnes is the ideal player that you would look for in a starting safety.
9. 4-Star DB Trajan Bandy 5-10/180 from Miami, FL.
Bandy is incredibly physical and is really really good.
10. 4-Star DB Tre Brown 5-11/180 from Tulsa, OK
Notice the 4-star trend by now? Brown has elite speed and cover skills
11. 4-Star DB Justin Broiles 6-0/170 from Oklahoma City, OK
Broiles could star at either safety or corner and is the biggest recruiter in the Sooners class of 2017.
Commit Predictions - 13
1. 4-Star RB Anthony Davis 5-10/200 from Lakeland, FL
Davis is an incredible talent from the Sunshine State, who has offers from everywhere. I believe the Sooners lead.
2. 3-Star RB Kennedy Brooks 6-0/200 from Mansfield, TX
Brooks appears to be all but locked in to the Sooners. I wouldn't be surprised if he commits before the end of April.
3. 4-Star WR Omar Manning 6-3/200 from Lancaster, TX
Manning is a big physical outside WR that would solidify this WR class as Stoops best on paper.
4. OL Stephan Zabie 6-6/290 from Austin, TX
Zabie is yet to be ranked by Rivals, but boasts offers from Baylor, Houston, Mizzou. Texas A&M, and the Sooners. While OU will have to wait a bit on this one, I have him predicted to be a Sooner.
5. 3-Star OL Creed Humphrey 6-4/290 from Shawnee, OK (No OU Offer Yet)
Creed's recruitment has taken off as he has picked up offers from A&M, Texas, Mizzou and Houston. He has yet to be offered by OU, but I believe that will change.
6. 3-Star OL Dalton Wagner 6-8/290 from Richmond, IL (No OU Offer Yet)
Wagner is just starting to emerge. He should be in Norman this weekend for the spring game.
7. 3-Star DL Deiontae Watts 6-3/300 from Plano, TX
Watts grew up an Oklahoma fan in Chickasha, OK before moving to Texas. This one makes too much sense for both parties.
8. 3-Star DL Deontre Thomas 6-3/260 from Mustang, OK (No OU Offer Yet)
Thomas has yet to pick up a Sooner offer, but he will be in Norman this weekend. He has offers from Michigan, Arkansas, and Texas A&M to name a few
9. Another DL not yet having an offer
10. 3-Star DE/OLB Isaiah Thomas 6-5/230 from Tulsa, OK
Thomas has offers from Baylor, ASU, ISU, Mizzou, Nebraska, OKState, Tennessee, A&M, and Vandy. He is visiting OU today and it wouldn't shock me to see him commit this weekend at the spring game.
11. 4-Star LB Anthony Hines 6-3/220 from Plano, TX
Hines has offers from everywhere (literally). His current plan is to enroll early, and I believe he will pick OU over the Longhorns.
12. 4-Star LB Addison Gumbs 6-3/215 from Hayward, CA
Gumbs visited OU this weekend and has a long list of offers. He can continue the Sooners success in California.
13. 4-Star ATH Nick Robinson 6-4/210 from Oklahoma City, OK (No OU Offer Yet)
Robinson has offers from Zona, ASU, Baylor, Houston, Indiana, KSU, Memphis, MIzzou, Miss St., OKState, Tennessee, and A&M. While he doesn't yet have an OU offer, I expect that to change. Robinson has star potential at TE or OLB.
___________________________________________________________________
This class would consist of 24 players, 14 of which would be 4-star players (as they are currently ranked). I also believe that Jalen Reagor will be bumped to a 4-star before National Signing Day. It would also include 7 players from the state of Oklahoma.
