Later this evening, the Oklahoma Sooners play host to the West Virginia Mountaineers inside of L. Dale Mitchell Park for a three game Big XII Series. With the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 PM, expect freshman Chris Andritsos to take the mound. Sporting a 4-3 record along with 26 strikeouts, this righty owns a 3.38 ERA but leads the Big XII with a 0.91 WHIP.

On Saturday, junior Jake Elliot has been tabbed as the started while the Sunday starter has yet to be determined.

They'll stare down the mound at the likes of right fielder Darius Hill. Throughout the season thus far, Hill touts a team high .353 batting average. However, his specialty may be hitting for extra bases with 14 doubles on the year. As a team, the Mountaineers boast a .271 average. The field backs up Chad Donato on Friday.

The junior hurler collected 70 strikeouts up to this point of the year. Donato certainly know how to throw strikes over the plate. The number places Donato second in the conference yet he owns a 1-3 record. Keeping to the usual rotation, Head Coach Randy Mazey plans to throw senior Ross Vance on Saturday and sophomore BJ Myers on Sunday who have both earned three previous starts.

Standing at the plate, freshman Steele Walker boosted his average to .267 over the past nine games with tremendous efforts for the Sooners. He along with Alex Wise have collected 10 doubles each showcasing the speed this team possesses. But, all the hype still surrounds Sheldon Neuse and rightfully so. The junior has 72 career extra base hits and will be looking to extend that number this weekend. The shortstop holds a .378 batting average against the Mountaineers over seven previous meetings.

Time to get another conference series win!
