The Oklahoma Sooners have plenty of wide receivers competing for a spot in the rotation this upcoming fall. Arriving a semester early after choosing OU over the likes of Notre Dame, John Humphrey filled a crucial role on the scout team. Often tasked with mimicking the oppositions top receiver, Humphrey earned the label of Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year.
Now with a year of experience in Lincoln Riley's system, the redshirt freshman was expected to compete for time on the field. Yet, it appears as though Humphrey made other plans after deliberations with those close to him.

Throughout the duration of the spring game earlier in April, Humphrey trotted on to the field with the second receiving group. A scholarship player, Humphrey failed to record a reception but still possesses top level talent. Regardless of where Humphrey lands, the CCM community wishes him the best in the future!
