The wear and tear of the season appeared to have worn down the Oklahoma Sooners to begin the game. Turning the ball over multiple times early, OU found themselves with a small deficit. Yet, a resurgence started behind a Buddy Hield three pointer - his first points of the game. Trading the lead throughout the first half, Lon Kruger and his squad headed to the locker room with a 31-30 lead.
The second half was not impressive either although the Sooners never trailed. Not quite able to pull away from the league's last place team, the Sooners collected their 24th win of the season on a 75-67 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs.
At the other end of the spectrum, TCU has now suffered through three 20-loss season since joining the Big XII Conference.
Buddy Hield connected on 7-of-12 attempts from the floor. The effort lead all scorers with 21 points. Adding to his effectiveness on the afternoon, Hield also pulled down a team high six rebounds. Helping out in the scoring department, Jordan Woodard found the bottom of the net for 13 points. Rounding out the trio of top scoring performances, Ryan Spangler added another 11 of his own.
For TCU, Brandon Parrish led the way with 20 points. Two other Frogs joined in double digits as the team shot 43% from the field. Chauncey Collins may not have hit as many three point attempts as he hoped but he finished with 12 points. Also, Vladimir Brodziansky added another 10 to the scoring output.
