Oklahoma Sooners Football | Bob Stoops Pre-Spring Press Conference

With Spring Practices set to start on Saturday, Bob Stoops stepped up to the podium to address the media and answer questions. Above, you'll find the press conference in it's entirety and below, a few of the highlights.

Injury Updates

Remembering correctly, Alex Dalton suffered a ruptured ACL forcing the offensive lineman to the sideline. Recovering from the injury takes time and the coaching staff remains well aware of the situation. Bob Stoops mentioned Dalton along with Samaje Perine as the two who would be limited in upcoming practices.

Not quite done with the list of injuries, middle linebacker Jordan Evans did not return during the Orange Bowl due to a should issue. He along with Stanvon Taylor, who had ankle surgery at the end of the year, are expected to participate in individual work while avoiding any and all contact. On the bright side, all players should be healthy by the time spring ends and summer begins.

Lastly, Rodney Anderson appears to be back to normal although not mentioned at the top of the presser.

Off Campus Spring Practice/Game?

Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have been pushing the boundaries since the coach arrived. In his latest move to promote the Michigan brand, Harbaugh has moved the Wolverines mandatory spring practices to Bradenton, Florida, home of IMG Academy during Spring Break nonetheless.

Asked about the idea, Bob Stoops said, "it's not a bad idea."

Position Changes

Earlier in February, Dwayne Orso's move to offensive tackle from defensive tackle was announced following National Signing Day. However, it was a move made before the bowl game.
