Don't blink on the Oklahoma baseball team or you may end up missing something. Fresh off a road trip to California, the Sooners are visiting Oral Roberts in Tulsa on Tuesday night. Winners of six in a row now (including a 5-game streak in Cali), Oklahoma now stands with a season record of 11-9-1 heading into the final game before conference play begins this weekend.
Junior Sheldon Neuse is sporting a team-high batting average of .370 and has 12 extra base hits on the season. Jack Flansburg is just behind him at .324 and has crossed home plate a team-leading 19 times. Senior Alex Wise is on a 10-game hit streak and the team as a whole seems to have turned the corner just in time.
The Sooners will be throwing right hander Keaton Hernandez (0-1, 3.00, 14 K) against ORU's Cale Tims (1-0, 4.05, 8 K).
First baseman Rolando Martinez (.377) and catcher Matt Whatley (.354) fuel the Golden Eagle offense. Whatley has gone yard three times this season and has produced a team-high 15 RBI.
