He is an ideal fit at outside linebacker in the Sooners 3-4 defense. I also believe at 235 pounds he is the heaviest high school linebacker that Bob Stoops has signed in his tenure in Norman. Jackson committed to the Sooners over offers from A&M, ASU, Ark, Baylor, Houston, Notre Dame, OKState, TCU, Texas, TTech, and UCLA.
Jackson's ability of the edge is incredible and he should be able to naturally transition into a similar role that Eric Striker occupied for the Sooners defense.
Also it never hurts to win a recruiting battle over Texas A&M. This makes Jackson's commitment even more sweet.
Look for the Sooners to add at least two more linebacker in the class of 2016.
