According to Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports, Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley did very well in his interview for the head coaching position at Houston. Riley is up against Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and former LSU head coach Les Miles.
Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley "hit it out of the park" during his recent Houston interview, according to a source. "I would be surprised if they don't hire him," the source said. "Lincoln killed it." - Dennis Dodd
Riley has been OU’s offensive coordinator for the part two season, winning the Broyles Award — given to the top assistant coach in college football — in 2015. Oklahoma’s offense — and its individuals — have thrived during Riley’s tenure. As a result, the 33-year-old Texan has become a prime candidate for head coaching positions across the country.
Oklahoma and its fans would love to keep Riley around for as long as possible. The way things are looking, OU would be lucky to keep him in Norman for even one more season.
