Whether it affected his throw or not, Sam Bradford and the Vikings got screwed in last Thursday’s loss against the Cowboys. Bradford was his usual self — sharp, unspectacular, under pressure for most of the night — and finished a respectable 32-of-45 for 247 yards, a touchdown and zero interceptions. But the Vikings failed to convert on fourth and goal after yet another Minnesota penalty and a Bradford overthrow in the end zone on the last play of the game. The loss dropped the Vikes to 6-6 on the season as they look to rebound in Jacksonville next week.

Bradford’s NFC North rival Aaron Ripkowski found the end zone for the second-straight week for the Packers and continues to tear up defenses in his limited but fruitful short-yardage and goal line opportunities. Rip finished with 3 carries for 14 yards and the score and added a catch for 4 yards in the snowy-day win against the Texans. The versatile fullback has emerged as a much-needed skill player in a depleted Green Bay backfield and appears to be an increasingly integral part of Mike McCarthy’s offense in a tight divisional race down the stretch.
Rip for a beastly six!
