2017 three-star defensive tackle Zacchaeus McKinney tweeted his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners early Saturday afternoon.

McKinney, out of Weatherford, Texas, committed to Kansas on November 13 but decommitted just nine days later. McKinney comes in at an already-imposing 6-4 and 300 pounds, and has high school experience as a 3-4 nose tackle.
McKinney on film still looks pretty raw—it looks like he relied more on overpowering guys than using any sophisticated pass-rushing moves or techniques. But he brings the physical attributes he’ll need to succeed in the Big 12, and it’s great to see him blowing up the backfield on that reel.
That quick Kansas decommit is surprising, but my guess is the Sooners made a hard push for McKinney over the last month as their D-line class grew thinner and thinner with each missed recruit. McKinney is the first interior D-lineman in the highly-touted #SoonerSquad17.
McKinney is the 23rd commit in the ‘17 class.
