Four-star wide receiver and Oklahoma commit Cedarian Lamb put some minds at ease on Thursday after tweeting that he would be shutting down his recruitment.

This announcement comes one week after Lamb announced that he had received an offer from Texas. Tom Herman had just recently been hired by UT, and the new coach was trying to steal some of his new rival’s commitments. The very next day, Lamb received an offer from TCU, as well. However, it looks like all of that was for nothing.

Those of you who aren’t very familiar with Lamb need to know that he is an absolute monster of a wide receiver. The 6-3 wideout finished his senior season at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas with 2,032 yards and 33 touchdown receptions and was named Offensive Player of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Houston. Lamb is a big wide receiver with great hands and leaping ability, making him a nightmare to handle in jump-ball situations.

Highly-touted JuCo wide receiver Marquise Brown has already signed with Oklahoma, and Charleston Rambo is committed to the Sooners, as well. Unless the Sooners lose a hold of Rambo (which isn’t completely out of the question), OU is set at the position for this class.
