UPDATE: Brown has pushed his announcement back to 5 p.m. CT.
2nd UPDATE: He’s changed it one again, this time to 3 p.m. CT.
Junior college wide receiver Marquise Brown will be announcing his commitment on Monday at 2 p.m. CT (3 p.m. ET), and the Sooners are in a good position. It was looking like a three-horse race between OU, USC and West Virginia, but Brown then announced his decision to eliminate the Trojans from the equation. He has also received scholarship offers from Oregon, Nebraska, TCU & Tennessee during the recruiting process.

Brown is ranked No. 10 overall in the 247 Composite junior college rankings and is listed as a four-star prospect. If you check out his highlights, you’ll quickly learn why he’s so highly thought of. He reminds many of Dede Westbrook, and though he’s obviously not on the same level at this point (who on earth is?), he definitely has some of that “wow” factor to him. The man has some wheels, folks!
The College of the Canyons (Calif.) product and Hollywood, Fla., native visited Norman for the Bedlam game and cancelled his USC visit a few days later. He also visited West Virginia for the Nov. 19 contest against the Sooners, which could potentially end up working out in OU’s favor.
Jalen Reagor was a big-time prospect, and it was tough to see him slip away to TCU. However, the Sooners have a great chance to land a high-quality replacement on Monday, and I think it’ll happen.
