This isn’t much of a surprise considering what happened to Baylor on Saturday. However, 11 a.m. CT kickoffs are incredibly lame and should be reserved for games in the Eastern Time Zone. The environment is bound to be hostile no matter what, but imagine if Baylor had taken care of business over the past two weeks. We would’ve had a 2:30 or primetime game against an undefeated team representing a school that no one is terribly fond of at the moment. The crowd would’ve been crazy.
Selfishly, I’m kind of fine with this. I’ll be at a wedding in New Jersey, and the festivities begin at 6 ET. If it would’ve been a night game, I’d say “screw it” (or some variation of that), skip out on everything and find a bar. It would be a tough thing to do, but it would be the right thing to do.
UPDATE: According to OU’s Mike Houck, the game will broadcast on ABC in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
