According to Carey Murdock of SoonerScoop.com, Oklahoma defensive end Charles Walker’s playing days as a Sooner have come to an end.
Sources tell me RS-junior DL Charles Walker won't return for #Sooners this season. Sources also say Walker intends to enter NFL draft.

There has been much speculation that this would happen since Walker sustained a concussion against TCU in early October, and there were rumors weeks ago that he had left the team.
Walker was a preseason All-Conference selection for 2016 after recording six sacks and ten tackles for loss as a redshirt sophomore in 2015. However, he missed last season’s Orange Bowl with a concussion, and he only played in four games as a redshirt junior.
If the report is indeed true, this seems like a wise decision for Walker. He has a daughter to support, and another concussion in the near future could end his career prospects as a football player. It’s always tough to see players depart before their time should come to an end, and it’s especially tough in this instance. The guy has loads of talent, but he wasn’t able to show it off nearly enough at OU due to injuries. We wish Charles good health and hope he destroys people in the NFL.
UPDATE (7:03 PM): Mike Stoops is salty.
Mike Stoops on Walker's decision: It's disappointing. It hurts you as a coach when a guy quits on you. #Sooners
