Oklahoma benefits from upsets around the country

The Sooners moved up to No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the AP Poll after a string of upsets on Saturday. These are the final AP and Coaches polls to be released before this year’s first College Football Playoff rankings, which will be announced on Tuesday night.

These two polls are trivial in modern college football, and this week’s polls are the most trivial of all, obviously. With that being the case this week, I’ll save my judgement until Tuesday evening.
