Just over a month ago, the prospect of having 2016 4-Star OT Jauan Williams 6-6/315 visit would have been considered crazy, but things change quickly in recruiting and now the Sooners are making a HUGE push for one of the best players in the class of 2016.
It started a month or so ago when the Sooner coaches began following Jauan on twitter and then last week Williams hosted Sooners offensive coordinator Lincoln for an in house visit. Williams tweeted out a pic of Riley "dabbing"
and then OU offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh tweeted out this
Looking forward for my guy from the 202 to come visit! The next one in the great tradition of OL at OU! #OUDNA— Bill Bedenbaugh (@OU_CoachB) January 17, 2016
Look for Williams to visit the weekend of January 29th (the last weekend before national signing day). Williams will have plenty of schools to choose from (Bama, Zona, Ark, Auburn, Clemson, FSU, UGA, LSU, Michigan, Michigan St., Ohio State, Tennessee, UCLA, and the Sooners just name a few).
In spite of the huge number of offers, look for this to come down to FSU, ND, and the Sooners. While I am not ready to predict he will wind up a Sooner yet, there is NO doubt, the Sooners are climbing and climbing Williams list fast.
