Oklahoma's Austin Seibert was selected to the FWAA Freshman All-American team this season as a punter. Seibert handled placekicking and punting duties this season as a true freshman. He averaged 42 yards per punt this season and had 11 different punts of at least 50 yards. He was a very reliable punter and placekicker, especially for a freshman.
Seibert was also a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation's best punter each season. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins one before he leaves Oklahoma, he's a very talented punter. It's part of the reason why he was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, despite being a special teams player.
The Sooners have been on the FWAA Freshman All-American team for a couple years in a row now. Oklahoma had two players (Dominique Alexander and Zach Sanchez) make the 2013 team and one (Samaje Perine) make it on last year's team.
