College football is finally here! And the Big 12 conference will be on the look out to show that they didn't get enough recognition last year after being left out of the playoff. It starts tonight with two of the Big 12's best teams playing on the road. Then the reigning Big 12 champion plays on Friday, with the other seven teams playing on Saturday.
Big 12 Schedule :
Oklahoma State @ Central Michigan - Thursday 6:00 p.m. CT
#2 TCU @ Minnesota - Thursday 8:00 p.m. CT
#4 Baylor @ SMU - Friday 6:00 p.m. CT
South Dakota State @ Kansas - Saturday 11:00 a.m. CT
Sam Houston State @ Texas Tech - Saturday 2:30 p.m. CT
Akron @ Oklahoma - Saturday 6:00 p.m. CT
South Dakota @ Kansas State - Saturday 6:10 p.m. CT
Georgia Southern @ West Virginia - Saturday 6:30 p.m. CT
Texas @ #11 Notre Dame - Saturday 6:30 p.m. CT
Northern Iowa @ Iowa State - Saturday 7:00 p.m. CT
The only ranked team that faces off against a Big 12 team this week will be #11 Notre Dame, who will host Texas in South Bend. The Big 12 champions from last season will face off in non-Saturday games, as TCU travels to Minnesota and Baylor travels to Dallas to play SMU.
The Big 12 should have a good showing in their first weekend of action, and should look at a 9-1 record if the favorites win and a possible 10-0 record if Texas can upset the Fighting Irish.
