We're still feeling our way through the young season but I think that it's safe to say that we're starting to get our feet underneath us a bit. If I could just convince the fellas to give up on Auburn.
WVU over Maryland 44-21. The Mountaineers not only cover but come to Norman ranked in the Top 25. Sadly this game will be played at 11 a.m.
Auburn over Miss St. 27-21. Auburn has been horrible this year, but something tells me they win at home and cover
Texas A&M over Arkansas 47-17. The wheels have fallen off for Bielema and the Hogs. Texas A&M makes this look easy and covers
UCLA - The Bruins are slowly becoming the team to beat in the Pac 12, and a road game against Arizona will tell us if they really are. Their defense has been pretty good this far and I think it carries them over the Wildcats.
BYU - The Cougars are arguably the best team outside of the power five conferences (and Notre Dame) and I really thought they would be favored against Michigan, even on the road. But I'll definitely take BYU to win in this one (or at least lose by less than 5).
Auburn - The Tigers aren't as good as we thought they would be this season. That doesn't mean they're terrible, it just means they aren't a playoff team right now. I don't think Mississippi State is either, and the loser of this game might battle with Arkansas for worst SEC West team. This will be a different Auburn team than the one that faced LSU and Jacksonville State however. Sean White is now the quarterback of this team and I think the change under center will be enough for the Tigers to have a chance at a good season.
Tennessee (+2) @ Florida - With a high powered ground attack and a defense that isn't terrible, I can definitely see the Volunteers winning this one in the Swamp.
Oklahoma State (-4) @ Texas - Texas is not a good football team. In their first challenge of the season, Mason Rudolph and company start to get it rolling offensively.
Mississippi State (+3) @ Auburn - Auburn is not a good football team, as evidenced by the lashing the Leonard Fournette gave them last week. Give me the Dogs.
Boise St. (-2.5) at Virginia - I'm a sucker for Friday night games! Boise has to travel across the country but that won't slow their speed advantage over the Cavs. Give me the Broncos by a field goal at least.
Maryland (+17) at West Virginia - Let's give the Mountaineers credit for their quick start, but let's also acknowledge that they haven't played anyone yet. This is a rivalry game and the Terrapins will bring the first real offense that West Virginia has seen this season. I like WVU to win but I also like Maryland to keep it within the 17 points.
New Mexico (-3) at Wyoming - This is the kind of pick that causes the fellas to make fun of me because it isn't remotely close to being a "big game." However, when you see a freebie sitting around like this you gotta take it. I like New Mexico to win this game by double digits, which is more than enough to cover the three-point spread.
Texas A&M (-7) @ Arkansas - Even though it's a home game for the Razorbacks, this isn't a very good football squad. Give me the Aggies all day on this one.
Maryland (+17) @ West Virginia - A rivalry game comes early every year for these two. With pride on the line, I give the Eers the win but Maryland covers
Utah (off) @ Oregon - Both teams have questions on defense. However, I believe the running backs may decide this game. Devontae Booker may very well be the best player on the field come Saturday do give me Utah to win on the road.
I'll take Stanford and the spread. If only because I get to watch clips of USC losing again. (In case I wasn't clear: Ha. Ha ha. Ha ha ha.)
Oklahoma State by only three? Please, give me your money.
Auburn rights the ship and more than covers.
