Oklahoma continues to run the gauntlet of early college football kickoffs. Just two days after downing the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, by a final score of 52-28, in a game that kicked off at 11:00 AM, the Sooners announced that their next home game will start at the same time. OU will host West Virginia on October 3rd in what will be the first conference game for both schools.
The Sooners, who are 3-0, will have this weekend off while the undefeated Mountaineers will play their third and final non-conference game this Saturday when they host the Maryland Terrapins. West Virginia is just on the outside looking in with both the AP and Coaches college football polls. A win over Maryland could easily put them in the Top 25 in both polls, making them Oklahoma's second nationally ranked opponent through their first four games of the season.
The Sooners and Mountaineers game will be broadcast live on FoxSports 1. There's also a good chance that Oklahoma's next game, against the Texas Longhorns, will be an 11:00 AM kickoff as well. Should that happen it will mark three consecutive games for OU to have the early start time.
