A local product out of Heritage Hall, Sterling Shepard quickly became a staple of the Oklahoma Sooners offense. As a freshman No. 3 collected 621 yards (third highest total by a FR at OU) to go along with three touchdowns while appearing in 13 games and starting four. The effort earned him a Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year honorable mention from the coaches.

The now healthy senior should have his best season to date. With a new quarterback and potential help in the receiving game, Shepard could easily crack the 1,000 yard barrier for the first time of his career.
