The Big 12 went 8-2 last weekend and now sit at 16-4 on the season with losses from Kansas, Iowa State, and Texas. They're also 2-1 against other power conferences (excluding the Longhorn's 35 point loss to Notre Dame). The conference also got it's key victory last weej, as the Sooners went on the road against Tennessee and came out on top after two overtimes. They'll have a chance to further improve their resume this week with two games against other power five conferences. However, the Big 12 teams won't be favored in either game.

The Big 12 could be in trouble this weekend. Only seven games are being played and the Big 12 could very well lose three of them. Toledo went on the road and defeated Arkansas last week, so Iowa State will be getting a tougher opponent than what they thought they were in for at the beginning of the season. Texas Tech was crushed by Arkansas last year in Lubbock and you can bet that the Razorbacks will play extremely hard after that Toledo loss that knocked them out of the Top 25. Texas also faces Jared Goff and the Cal Golden Bears, a team that could be a dark horse to win the Pac 12.
I think the Red Raiders, Longhorns, and Cyclones will all keep it close. But I can't say I truly believe any of them will win. A win for any of those schools would be a huge gain for the conference and team.
