Collegiate coaches eyed the talents of power forward Matt Freeman out of New Zealand during the month of July. The 6-9 prospect quickly grabbed attention from handful of coaches for his ability to stretch the floor with outside shooting. Receiving interest from Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Butler just to name a few, the Kiwi has committed to the University of Oklahoma.

Freeman grades out as a 3-star prospect by Scout and a 4-star prospect by Rivals joins two others, Kristian Doolittle and Kameron McGusty, as a 2016 commit. The momentum for Lon Kruger continues to build who not only possess a top 10 recruiting class but who also hold the No. 8 national ranking in the early early projections.
