Things began to look bleak last month, but its amazing what just a month can do for the future outlook of a class. The Sooners added DB Chanse Sylvie and LB Bryce Youngquist to their class last weekend and things are definitely trending upward. As the beginning of the season draws near, here are the class of 2016 predictions for the month of August. This list has a decidedly California flair to it.

CURRENT COMMITMENTS - 8

4* QB Austin Kendall 6-2/210

3* WR Adrian Hardy 6-3/185

3* JUCO WR Ryan Parker 6-2/175

3* OL Logan Roberson 6-5/318

3* LB Jon-Michael Terry 6-2/225

4* LB Bryce Youngquist 6-2/210

3* JUCO DB Maurice Chandler 6-1/190

3* DB Chanse Sylvie 6-0/185

FUTURE COMMITMENT PREDICTIONS- 14

4* RB Devwah Whaley 6-0/205

Devwah Whaley visited the Sooners last week and many believe that the Sooners lead.

4* WR Camron Williams 6-3/200

Williams seems to flying under the radar, but there is no denying his talent.

3* JUCO OT Ashton Julious 6-8/330

Ashton is a mammoth player who will take an official visit to the Sooners. I expect him to be a Sooner.

3* OT Tramonda Moore 6-5/330

Tramonda Moore has gone from a relative unknown to having offers from Georgia, TCU, Alabama, ASU, and the Sooners.

3* OG Rowdy Frederick 6-4/330

Rowdy does not have an offer yet, but I fully expect that to change.

4* DL Amani Bledsoe 6-5/265

He's from Kansas. The Sooners have a great track record in Kansas.

3* DL Marcel Southall 6-3/270

Southall visited the Sooners last weekend. The Sooners are definitely at or near the top for him.

5* LB Caleb Kelly 6-3/215

His connections to OU are numerous. The only potential snag would be if the Sooners are unable to retain graduate assistant Courtney Viney. This will be an interesting situation to watch as we get closer to National Signing Day.

4* LB Marvin Terry 6-2/230

Again this battle is still seemingly a TTech vs. OU situation, where I see the Sooners winning out because of his friendship with current Sooner Prentice McKinney.

3* LB Pernell Jefferson 6-2/235

Jefferson is one of the players I feel most confident in the Sooners landing, because of his friendship with current Sooner Arthur McGinnis

4* DB Jordan Parker 5-11/185

Jordan Parker decommitted from UCLA several weeks ago. The Sooners are definitely trending in the right direction

4* DB Shurod Thompson 6-1/185

Shurod has made no bones about wanting to team up with Jordan Parker and Parker has said the same. The Sooners provide them this opportunity, along with Lamar Jackson.

4* DB Lamar Jackson 6-2/206

Lamar Jackson just set up an official visit for the WVU game.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">#3 Oklahoma vs West Virginia OU official visit <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CaliSooner?src=hash">#CaliSooner</a> ⚪️ <a href="http://t.co/kYQTuO3hHP">pic.twitter.com/kYQTuO3hHP</a></p>&mdash; LAMAR JACKSON #⃣1⃣ (@lamar_cla1) <a href="https://twitter.com/lamar_cla1/status/628279703464325121">August 3, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

His commit prediction has as much to do with the rumors swirling that Shurod Thompson, Jordan Parker, and Jackson are all throwing around the idea of playing together at the next level.

3* DB Obi Eboh 6-1/180

Eboh visited the Sooners last weekend and barring a Stanford offer, could commit to the Sooners very soon.
