Junior strong safety Ahmad Thomas has played in twenty-five games during his fist two seasons at Oklahoma, including thirteen starts in 2014. The Miami, Florida native recorded 75 total tackles last season and his first career interception.
Thomas joins fellow junior Zack Sanchez, who starts at corner, as the only returning starters in Oklahoma's secondary for 2015. While Mike Stoops and the defensive coaching staff will fill in the gaps around Thomas and Sanchez, the duo puts the team in a good spot with returning experience at the defensive back position.
Thomas, who recorded double-digit tackles in three different games last season, was listed as a 4-star recruit by 247 sports coming out of high school, and a 3-star by Rivals and Scout.
