The last time we saw senior linebacker Frank Shannon playing on the field for the Sooners he was tying for a team-high seven tackles in the Sugar Bowl against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Shannon was suspended from the school in 2014 and reinstated following the spring semester, putting him back on the team.
In 2013 Shannon started all 13 games for Oklahoma and led the team with 92 total tackles. Seven of his tackles went for loss, including two sacks, with Shannon also recording an interception and a forced fumble.
