For the upcoming NCAA Men's Basketball season, the Oklahoma Sooners have been selected to appear on Big Monday on three separate occasions.
- January, 4th | Oklahoma at Kansas
- January 18th | Oklahoma at Iowa State
- February 8th | Texas at Oklahoma
A year ago, Lon Kruger's squad flew under the radar in the nation's toughest league. Slowly climbing the rankings OU found themselves in a tight race for the regular season crown. Unfortunately, the Sooners were unable to capitalize down the stretch but it didn't stop Buddy Hield from claiming Conference Player of the Year Award.
Regardless, the Sooners secured a 2-2 record on Big Monday in 2014-15 with wins over the Texas Longhorns and Iowa State Cyclones. This year's Big Monday Match-ups feature what should be top 25 opponents.
Although TaShawn Thomas graduated, the experience gained by others like Khadeem Lattin and the availability of Jumani McNeese could push this group over the edge. Needless to say, Oklahoma continues to trend upward.
