Heading into the 2015 college football season the Oklahoma Sooners are finding themselves stacked at the linebacker position and one of the reasons why is junior linebacker Jordan Evans who wears #26. After playing in just eight games as a freshman, in 2013, where he recorded 12 tackles, Evans was thrust into the spotlight in 2014 and thrived. The hometown product, from Norman North High School, recorded a total of 93 tackles (6.5 for loss), broke up four passes, nabbed an interception, forced two fumbles and recovered one as well.
A starter in all 13 games last season at the inside linebacker position, Evans led the team in tackles three times (Kansas Stats, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State). He also recorded a career-high 14 tackles against Texas during Oklahoma's 31-26 win on October 11th.
