We tend to pick on Texas a lot in these countdown posts but let's be honest, if it weren't for Texas then our Sooner joy would never be complete because we would get incredibly bored just picking on Oklahoma State. Therefore we must pick on Texas because it is our duty both as Americans and as members of the Sooner Nation.
In the 2007 Red River Rivalry the Sooners held the Longhorns to just 61 total yards rushing and a pathetic 2.1 yards per carry average. It was the lowest rushing output of the season for Texas and the end result was a 28-21 Sooner victory. The loss dropped Texas to 0-2 in conference play which marked the first time they had started off with back-to-back losses in conference since 1956.
Nic Harris led the charge for Oklahoma's defense with a team-high 8 tackles and a sack. Reggie Smith was second on the team with six tackles but also had an interception and two pass break ups. Smith was named the as the conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
