Oklahoma Sooners Football Debuts At #19 In Preseason Coaches Poll

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The first coaches poll of the 2015 college football season has been released and the Oklahoma Sooners find themselves ranked 19th. The Sooners are one of just three Big 12 schools to find themselves in the initial Top 25. After ending the 2014 season with back-to-back losses to Oklahoma State and Clemson OU went into the offseason unranked. However, there's enough promise there in guys like running back Samaje Perine and linebacker Eric Striker to earn a spot in the preseason coaches poll.

TCU (#2) and Baylor (#4) are the other two Big 12 schools to be ranked. An interesting note is that Oklahoma's week two opponent, Tennessee, checks in at #25.
